The new product, "Yakimiso Pork Buns" made with Akita miso in addition to pork and wheat flour produced in Akita Prefecture, will go on sale at Fukuro's Tsuchizaki main store on May 1, 2024 (Wednesday).

What is "Yakimiso Pork Buns"?
Yakimiso Pork Buns" are made with pork, wheat flour, and Akita miso (soybean paste), all of which are ingredients produced in the prefecture. The bean paste is made with pork, lotus root, shiitake mushrooms, green onions, and Akita miso, and flavored with sesame oil and ginger. The buns are finished with a layer of dengaku miso (soybean paste) and baked to a savory perfection before serving.

Lagoon onions
The birth of Akita Prefecture's first pork bun specialty store was triggered by an encounter with the "Lagoon Onion" of Oogata Village.
We arrived at this pork bun through a process of trial and error in order to take advantage of the deliciousness of the soft and sweet Lagoon onions grown in the mineral-rich soil. In fact, the standard pork bun filling in western Japan is actually just pork and lagoon onions. Fukuro will continue to stick to this simple ingredient and aim to create a new soul food for all Akita residents.
Pork
Akita-grown pork from the thigh, shoulder, belly, and pork fat are diced and minced, respectively, and blended in a well-balanced manner.
Seasonings
Akita-produced soy sauce and other additive-free seasonings are exquisitely combined.
Dough
A blend of Akita-produced "Ginga Chikara" and "Nebarigoshi" dough, which has a slightly sweet taste and is fluffy and chewy. The pork buns are wrapped and steamed on the spot, and are freshly made and juicy.
