Background

There was a single mother who was fighting an illness while supporting her child as a mother. During her battle with the disease, she had to spend a lot of money for expenses other than medical treatment, which was not covered by her insurance.

She had to pay for hospital visits, childcare, food, and many other expenses that were not covered by her insurance, and she was unable to work. Before her death, she said, "I want to reduce the number of people who have to go through the same thing I did. Inheriting her wish, we launched the "MOTHER'S Fund" to help breast cancer patients during their fight against the disease.

Details of the Fund

(1) One in nine women suffers from breast cancer today.

The number of people suffering from breast cancer continues to increase steadily year after year, and for the socially advanced generation, it is a major burden in terms of economic, social, and psychological aspects. During the long period of treatment, in addition to treatment costs, unexpected expenses such as hospital visits, school fees for children, wigs, and mood swings due to the effects of medication may occur, and unexpected expenses may become necessary. This project aims to reduce the burden and provide psychological care for breast cancer patients of all ages and genders by subsidizing those areas that are not covered by social support systems.

(2) Grants, even a small amount, will provide emotional support.

There is no specified use for the support funds. You can use the funds to purchase your own necessities, to pay for cab fare to and from the hospital, to travel for a change of scenery, etc., and refresh yourself by using the funds as you wish. To apply, you will be asked to submit proof that you are undergoing treatment and a brief questionnaire regarding the support payment at a later date. There are no burdens or restrictions on recipients.

Photographs of the applicant's treatment plan, doctor's certificate, medical statement, or other documents that show that the applicant is undergoing treatment for breast cancer.

The MOTHER'S Fund Committee of the association will make a selection from among the applicants.
