The swimwear sales floor on the B1F of Nishi-Ginza Department Store (located at 4-1 Ginza, Chuo-ku, Tokyo), one of the largest in Japan, will strengthen its sales by offering 1.3 times more swimwear and resort wear than last year, approximately 15,000 items, in the summer of 2023, toward July and August when the swimsuit season is in full swing.

With the return of normal summer this year for the first time in four years, announcements of ocean, pool, and resort facilities in various regions began to appear one after another in June. In addition, according to the Japan Meteorological Agency, temperatures in July and August are expected to be normal or higher than normal and extremely hot, which is expected to increase the mindset for travel and summer leisure this summer.

In the swimwear sales area of Nishi-Ginza Department Store, from April to June, demand for overseas resorts in addition to domestic trips to Okinawa and other destinations, especially among couples and families, was noticeable, and sales were up 10% from last year, when revenge consumption was prominent. We expect further demand for swimwear with a wide selection of products for the coming summer season.
