CS:GO's Pinnacle Cup V (1)
Pinnacle Cup V aims to keep the spirit of the 2022 Pinnacle Cup Championship in Lund, Sweden, and provide the eSports community with an exceptional experience.
With this highly anticipated event, Pinnacle continues its partnership with data partner GRID and production partner Eden Esports.
True to its original format, the online tournament will create an environment where teams of all skill levels can showcase their talents.
Starting with a "play-in" stage, teams will play through the Swiss stage, eventually reaching the playoffs. The winning team there will take home a portion of the $50,000 total prize money.
Famous teams such as Heroic (winner of the Pinnacle Cup Championship), Astralis, and Fnatic have all played in the Pinnacle Cup Series in the past and have etched their names in the tournament's history. Pinnacle will be breaking new ground when the tournament begins on August 1, 2023.
The tournament will be streamed live on Pinnacle's English- and Russian-language Twitch channels to ensure a diverse, multi-lingual audience. It will also be streamed on Pinnacle's official Pinnacle Cup YouTube channel.
During the Swiss Stage, teams will engage in fierce competition and vie for playoff slots. Teams advancing to the playoff stage will face four teams in the invitational bracket.
Stuart Bridges, Partnerships Manager, Global Esports:
We are very excited to be returning to our flagship event with Pinnacle Cup V. This tournament builds on the success of the previous Pinnacle Cup: Brasil and Pinnacle Cup: Malta Vibes.
What we hope to convey with our commitment to the Pinnacle series is our ability and enthusiasm to deliver a long-term, scalable value proposition for our products and provide engaging content by streaming matches across multiple channels.
We will continue to focus on the eSports community, giving players, teams, and organizations the opportunity to compete against the best teams in the world while creating engaging content and storylines where they can take the lead.
■Harry Wiggett, Head of Sponsorship, GRID Esports:
