≪About Hitoyoshi Kuma

Hitoyoshi Kuma is a region rich in nature where the Kuma River, one of the three most rapid rivers in Japan, flows through the center of a basin surrounded by the Kyushu Mountains.

It has also been recognized as a "Japan Heritage" site as "700 years of Sagara's conservative and enterprising culture - Hitoyoshi Kuma, the richest hidden village in Japan," and has many old Buddhist statues and buildings.

In winter, fog rolls in in the morning, creating a fantastic landscape.
