The Maebashi Convention & Visitors Association, in cooperation with six cities and villages around Mt. Akagi (Maebashi, Kiryu, Shibukawa, Midori, Numata, and Showamura), will hold the "Mt. Akagi Round Trip Ride" on Saturday, October 14, 2023, utilizing environmentally friendly and healthy bicycles. This year marks the third time the event has been held.

Akagisan area's wonderful natural environment, food culture, and many local resources will be widely publicized and recognized, and while taking thorough measures to prevent infectious diseases, opportunities will be created to interact with people in the area, with the aim of creating a tourist area and promoting cycle tourism in the Akagisan area by increasing the number of people interacting in a wide area. For the round-the-mountain ride, 90 participants will start from two starting points in Maebashi City and Shibukawa City, and for the short ride, 100 participants will start from the starting point in Maebashi City at different time intervals.

Aid and charge stations (rest points) will be set up along the route, and participants will enjoy local specialties while cycling approximately 100 km for the round-the-clock ride and 30 km for the short ride around the foot of Akagi Mountain.

This year, a short course has been set up so that beginners who are not comfortable with long rides can also take on the challenge.
