What is Akrobat's "Vertical Wire Type"?

Akrobat's "Vertical Wire Type" is a safety product to ensure safety when ascending and descending ladders (ramps), and is mainly installed on the rooftops of factories and buildings, and on ladders permanently installed on buildings for the purpose of accessing rooftops. The wire is installed vertically along the ladder, and the operator connects the wire to the full harness using the "slider" of the dedicated metal fittings.

The "slider" of the dedicated hardware has a locking function in case of a fall, preventing the worker from crashing to the ground if he or she steps off or falls down. Full Harness Type Crash Restraint Devices Finally in Full Force

In Japan, more than 200 people lose their lives every year due to crashes or falls while working at heights, and the total number of injured people exceeds 20,000*.

Until now, body belt and harness-type safety belts have been used, but the safety of these belts is finally being reviewed, and with the partial revision of the Enforcement Order of the Industrial Safety and Health Law and the Industrial Safety and Health Regulations, the wearing of full harness-type fall arrest devices has become mandatory as of February 1, 2019, to strengthen safety measures.

As a result, full harness fall arrest devices, which are the standard in Europe and the U.S., will be mandatory in Japan at certain heights (6.75m or higher / 5m or higher recommended for the construction industry).
