On September 2 (Sat.) and 3 (Sun.), KHC Group companies Katsumi Housing Corporation, Palu Corporation, Yokozuna Yamato Construction Corporation, Akashi Sumiken Corporation, and Labo Corporation will hold the "Hiraya Iemachi Expo" to unveil a model house built on the first land in Hyogo Prefecture exclusively for one-story houses for sale (Inami-cho, Kako-gun, Hyogo Prefecture). Background

According to the number of construction starts announced by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, the number of one-story houses has been on the rise in recent years, and by 2022, approximately 57,000 one-story houses will be constructed, approximately double the number of 30,000 constructed 10 years ago in 2012. The percentage of residential-only housing has also doubled, from 6.8% in 2012 to 13.5% in 2022.

Traditionally, the demand for one-story houses has been mainly from seniors who want to live a carefree life, but in recent years, stylish designs have attracted the attention of young people raising children, and with the declining birthrate, more and more couples are living alone after their children leave the nest and do not need a large house, which has contributed to the increase in one-story houses. This is one of the reasons for the increase in the number of one-story houses.

The demand for low-cost subdivisions has increased due to soaring material costs and rising prices, and while the market for custom-built houses has shrunk, we have decided to sell subdivisions and build a model house exclusively for one-story houses, which are very popular and have strong roots.

Location and "hitotoki", a one-story house-only subdivision

Inami-cho, Kako-gun, Hyogo Prefecture, is located in the eastern part of the Harima Plain, adjacent to Kobe City to the east, Akashi City to the south, Kakogawa City to the west, and Miki City to the north, and has a beautiful rural landscape full of water and greenery. Taking advantage of the characteristics of the area, we designed all 18 lots to be over 60 tsubos (approximately 1,000 square meters) in size and to be "single-story exclusive subdivision housing" so that no two-story or taller houses will be built next to them and the sunlight and scenery will not be spoiled. The plan was designed to appeal to the appeal of custom-built housing through single-story houses and to draw out the latent needs of homeowners, so that they can enjoy the lifestyle they desire.

Under the title of "5 stories," five KHC Group companies will unveil five one-story model houses at the same time, each with its own unique characteristics. The model houses will provide a reference for visitors to realize a lifestyle that suits them, such as a relaxed life for a couple, a life with pets, a life enjoying child-rearing, a life enjoying BBQ and DIY, a life in a stylish building, and so on.
