Kurashiki City (Kurashiki City, Okayama Prefecture) will hold a 3-day/2-night immigration experience tour "Kurashiki Denim x Culture Experience Tour" from September 30 (Sat) to October 2 (Mon).

Kurashiki City is located in the southwestern part of Okayama Prefecture and is a core city with a population of approximately 480,000. As the story of the development of the textile industry, "The Kurashiki Story, which began with a single cotton flower: A town where Japanese and Western textiles are interwoven," has been recognized as a Japan Heritage site, the foundation of the textile industry in Kurashiki was laid in the middle of the Edo period, and after the industrial revolution in the Meiji period, the city boasted a high market share nationwide for student uniforms, canvas, and other products, and has been a leader in the Japanese textile industry. Kurashiki City has been a driving force of the Japanese textile industry since the Industrial Revolution of the Meiji Period.

It was in Kurashiki, the "City of Textiles," that Japan's first domestically produced jeans were born. The Kojima area, the center of Kurashiki City's textile industry, is now attracting attention as a sacred place for jeans and is a popular tourist spot with "Kojima Jeans Street" and "Jeans Museum".

In Kurashiki, which has such creative soil, we will hold an immigration experience tour "Kurashiki's 'Denim x Culture' Tour"!

The tour will be based in the Kojima area, visiting denim fabric manufacturing and processing sites. The tour will also visit the Kurashiki Canvas Factory and the Kurambo Memorial Museum, which are indispensable for Kurashiki's textile industry.
