Pleasure Corporation (President: Hitohiko Kimura) will hold the cycling event "SEA × CYCLE Minamiizu 2023" (with overnight stay) on October 7 and 8, 2023, planned and operated by JU-ZA CYCLE YADO Minamiizu, an accommodation facility in Minamiizu Town, Shizuoka Prefecture, which is operated by Pleasure Corporation. The event will be held on October 7 (Sat.) and 8 (Sun.), 2023.

What is the "SEA × CYCLE Minamiizu 2023" cycling event?

Minamiizu, the southernmost town on the Izu Peninsula, is known as a sacred place for cyclists. The town offers a variety of courses where cyclists can enjoy both spectacular scenery and cycling, including a coastline with a tropical atmosphere, along the Aono River where the steam from Shimogamo Hot Springs rises, and along forest roads with a quiet rural landscape and beautiful sunlight filtering through the trees.

This event will be held to introduce the charms of the "sea" and "bicycles" of Minamiizu Town, which were introduced at the "SEA × CYCLE Minamiizu" (Torque Spice & Herb, Table & Court) event held last fall and which received a favorable reception. The use of e-bikes makes it easy for even those unfamiliar with bicycles to participate in the event.

Participants will also receive tickets to "Gambaru," a gourmet event held in Izu during the event period. Please enjoy the spectacular view of Minami Izu Town and Izu's unique gourmet cuisine.

Conditions for participation

Participants must be 18 years old or older (high school students must be accompanied by a parent or guardian) and able to follow the rules and have fun with others.

Those who are willing to promote Minami Izu Town and e-bikes through their own public contents (SNS/YouTube/blog, etc.) through the event.

We will ask you to inform us of the URL of your public content when you make a reservation.

E-bike rental is required. (Rental fee is included in the entry fee.)

Helmets are required.

Helmets, gloves, and goggles will be provided free of charge.

Participation Fee

Special price per person 9,800 yen (tax included)

(including accommodation (1 night with 2 meals), e-bike rental, event participation fee (with guide), and Gambaru ticket worth 4,000 yen)

Transportation to the site, food, drink, and entertainment expenses are to be paid separately by each participant.

If you wish to stay the night before Friday the 6th or after Sunday the 8th, a special price of 3,300 yen per night will be offered for each.

Cycling will be held in a group format. Yoshimitsu Hiratsuka, a former professional road racer from Izu, will be your guide. Once you experience this guided cycling tour, you will be addicted to the pure enjoyment of the scenery and the bicycles themselves. Please enjoy the round-the-town course of Minami-Izu (about 40 km).

You may not choose the type of vehicle you ride. We will decide the type of vehicle based on your experience and height.

About JU-ZA CYCLE YADO Minamiizu

JU-ZA CYCLE YADO Minamiizu is a 56-year-old former guest house that has been revitalized as a new base for cycling in Izu, aiming to solve the problems of both cyclists who want to stay overnight while safely storing their bicycles and the depopulated town of Minamiizu.
