Details of the results of the survey

Questionnaire for women

Q1: How would you feel if your partner had ED (erectile dysfunction) during sexual intercourse? (Multiple answers allowed)

How would you feel if your partner had ED during sexual intercourse?

When asked how they would feel if their partner had ED (erectile dysfunction) during sexual intercourse, the most common response was "I don't know what to do (51.5%)," followed by "I worry (44.0%)" and "I lose confidence (19.5%)," indicating that most respondents had negative feelings.

Q2: How would you feel if your partner had ED (erectile dysfunction)? (Multiple responses allowed)

How would you feel if your partner had ED?

■Other free answers:

・I would think about it if he is suffering from it.

・I would discuss it with my partner and decide together whether to treat it or wait for it to heal naturally.

・I would like to discuss it with my partner and decide together whether to treat it or wait for it to heal naturally. If I were in a relationship, I may feel sad and feel that I am not in a relationship.

・If I were in a relationship, I may feel sad and blame myself and try to solve the problem.

・I want to put first priority on what my partner wants to do.

When asked how they would feel if their partner had ED (erectile dysfunction), the most common response was "I want it treated with medicine (60.0%)," followed by "I want to wait until it goes away naturally (28.5%)" and "I blame myself (10.0%).

The large number of respondents who "want to be cured with medication" suggests that the positive perception of ED medications is widely shared among women.

Q3: What do you think of men who use ED drugs? (Multiple answers allowed)

What do you think about men who use ED drugs?

■Other free answers:

・I am not very interested in sex, and I think it is OK if my partner has ED because I am not interested in sex, but if the woman wants to have sex, I think treatment is necessary.

・I would like him to be treated when he is young or if he and I want to have children, but if I have spent some time in life and no longer feels much need for sex or do not need to have children, I do not think there is any need to force him to be treated. If the person wants to be treated, I think it is best to leave it to his own will.

・I am concerned about whether it will affect his health.

・If he wants to use it, I will leave it to him.

When asked what they thought of men who use ED drugs, the most common response was "I want them to continue to use them (44.0%)," followed by "I would rather they use them (36.5%) than leave their ED untreated.

Conversely, "I don't want them to use (12.0%)" was the least common response.

These results indicate that most women are positive about the use of ED drugs.

Q4: Is it possible that dissatisfaction with sexual activity may gradually make you feel less affectionate as well?

Is it possible that dissatisfaction with sexual activity may cause you to feel less affection as well?

When asked if dissatisfaction with sexual activity could cause them to gradually lose affection, more than 70% of the respondents answered "Yes (74.5%).

Summary of Women's Survey Results

The highest percentage of women (60.0%) answered that they would like their partner to be treated if he has ED. This indicates that ED is a problem that not only affects the men themselves, but also their female partners to a great extent.

In addition, 74.5% of women answered "Yes" to the question "Dissatisfaction with sexual activity may lead to loss of affection," accounting for three-fourths of all respondents. Even if it is not the direct cause, dissatisfaction with sexual activity is a serious problem that can lead to the breakdown of a relationship with one's partner.

Throughout the survey, there were very few negative comments about ED medications. These results indicate that many women want ED treatment when necessary, while respecting the wishes of the men themselves as partners.

Questionnaire for men

Respondents' age

30s: 104 (18.2%)

60s: 62 (10.8%)

70s and older: 9 (1.6%)

Q2: Please select the ED drugs you have used. (Including generics. Multiple answers allowed)

1 Levitra: An ED drug characterized by its immediate effect that starts working in 15 minutes.

Q3:Why did you decide to use ED drugs? (Multiple answers allowed)

Reasons for using ED drugs

The most common reason for using ED medications was "for strength (49.4%)," followed by "to extend erection time (46.4%).

Others said they "want peace of mind in case of emergency (33.3%)," suggesting that some people use ED medications to relieve anxiety even if they do not have complete ED.

Q4: What kind of effect did you get when you used ED drugs? (Multiple answers allowed)

Effects of ED drugs

When asked about the effects of using ED drugs, the most common response was "Hardness increased (72.1%)," followed by "Duration of erection increased (67.0%)" and "I can now have sexual intercourse to the end (44.5%).

Some respondents also commented that their mentality had improved, such as "satisfaction with sexual activity has increased (38.4%)" and "I feel more positive about sexual activity (33.7%).

Q5: What were your concerns before ED treatment? (Multiple answers allowed)

Anxiety before ED treatment

When asked what worried them before ED treatment, "side effects (64.2%)" was the most common concern, followed by "effectiveness (53.1%)" and "cost (39.1%).

The fact that most respondents were concerned about side effects suggests that it is important for patients to receive a proper explanation about side effects in order to feel comfortable with ED treatment.

Q6: What did you think of the actual visits to the hospital and the use of ED drugs? (Multiple answers allowed)

What did you think of the actual use of ED drugs?

When asked how they felt after actually going to the hospital and using ED drugs, the most common response was "I am glad I went to the hospital and used ED drugs (61.4%)," followed by "I wish I had used ED drugs earlier (55.0%).

On the other hand, the small number of respondents who chose "not much change (2.8%)" and "no longer use (0.0%)" confirms that more than 90% of the respondents have experienced positive effects from the use of ED treatment drugs.

Q7: How much do you spend per month on ED treatment?

Monthly amount spent on ED treatment

The most common monthly amount of money spent on ED treatment was "less than 5,000 yen (70.9%).

Although it depends on the frequency of visits to the clinic and use of ED drugs, many respondents seem to spend low amounts of money on ED treatment.

Q8: At what kind of clinic would you like to receive ED medication prescriptions? (Multiple answers allowed)

At what kind of clinic would you like to receive ED drug prescriptions?

When asked at what kind of clinic they would like to receive ED drug prescriptions, the most common response was "Online treatment available (90.6%)," followed by "Low price (55.0%)" and "Short consultation time (41.9%).

Since many of the respondents to this survey have experience with online medical care, it is difficult to make a general statement, but it seems that demand for online medical care is high.

Summary of Male Survey Results

Many of the men who actually used ED drugs said they were glad they did and wished they had used them earlier.

Conversely, no one in the survey responded that they would not use them anymore, suggesting that ED drugs had some positive impact on many men.

In addition to functional benefits such as increased hardness and prolonged erection duration, the survey also found that ED drugs have mental benefits such as increased satisfaction with sexual activity and positive attitudes toward sexual activity.

In response to the results of the survey

From this survey, we learned that women may feel less affectionate due to dissatisfaction with sexual activity. This indicates how important sexual activity is in building a relationship with one's partner.

On the other hand, many of the men who actually took ED treatment said that their sex lives had improved as a result of ED treatment, such as "I am glad I used ED medication" and "I wish I had used it earlier.

Given that women are less likely to have negative feelings about their partners' use of ED medications, if ED is a problem in building a relationship with a partner, trying ED medications under a doctor's consultation is likely to be the most effective solution.
