Kyo-Roman Group Holdings Co. (President: Shiro Gun), which operates a kimono and photo studio and other Japanese culture promotion business based in Nara City, will hold "Yamato Biryu Kimono School" (President: Yukumi Yamashita), which offers kimono dressing classes mainly in Nara City, as a volunteer activity on September 23 at a nursing care facility in Yamato Saidaiji. A wheelchair dressing session

The purpose of this service is to provide people in wheelchairs, regardless of age or sex, with the pleasure of wearing kimonos on anniversaries and events, and to bring smiles to their faces with a cheerful feeling.

Wheelchair dressing is a sitting dressing service that can be done in 10 to 15 minutes per person, simply by sitting in a wheelchair with a kimono set on the wheelchair. The dressing is done using only dressing techniques, without cutting or sewing the kimono or obi, so the burden on the body is minimal and safe.

Taking this opportunity, Yamato Bi-Ryu Kimono Gakuin will commercialize "wheelchair on-site dressing" and "wheelchair dressing workshops" to train wheelchair dressers in order to promote wheelchair dressing in Nara and other prefectures in earnest.
