<Oshogatsu Limited Experience Program Outline
Challenge yourself with a wood lathe! Try your hand at painting a picture on a top.
In this experience, visitors can apply a pen to a frame set on a wood lathe, a machine that rotates wood, to paint on it. After the painting experience, you can immediately spin the tops and play with them. The sound of the spinning tops is believed to drive away evil spirits, making it an auspicious traditional New Year's game.

Making Owase Hinoki (Japanese cypress) key chains, a lucky charm that brings good fortune
Participants will make lucky charm key chains by freely decorating them with parts of different shapes and sizes made of Owase cypress, a wood produced in Mie Prefecture. A limited quantity (50 pieces) of dragon-shaped key chains will also be available. Hinoki is considered a lucky tree because it can withstand heat and cold and has a long life span.

New Year's Chainsaw Art Show: Chinese Zodiac Sculpture "Dragon" for the year 2024
Annual New Year Chainsaw Art Show. A large log is turned into a lu in just one hour by a chainsaw. Visitors can experience up close the power of the powerful sound of the chainsaw and the violent scattering of wood chips, as well as the delicate techniques used to express the detailed expressions and fur of the animals. The finished lu will be displayed at the entrance of the kiond for one year.
