Luvth's Confidence K.K. (Representative: Kaoru Miwada, Head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo), which operates the stage production business "Quokkers," will present "Bamboo Summer 2024," the first stage produced by former D-BOYS Dai Yanagishita, starting on March 20, 2024 at Theater MOMO.

Bamboo Summer 2024

The story is based on the Taketori Monogatari (The Tale of the Bamboo-Cutter), in which Kaguyahime (Princess Kaguya) transfers to a small, all-boys high school in the countryside. It is a coming-of-age story about the boys who cannot hide their upset over the cute transfer student who suddenly comes to their school, and Kaguya, who is destined to return to the moon.

Based on a popular work by the theater company Analog Switch.

■Story

Our summer vacation began here. A tranquil rural high school where the cicadas' voices resound. The students attending the school are all boys. A girl transfers to such a high school.

The tranquil balance of the classroom begins to collapse.

The girl tells us that we are too much for her. The teacher sneaks up on the overbearing parents. And the number of new students increases.

The new student says, "I'm going to the summer festival with just the guys." I shouldn't have said that.

Our summer vacation begins.

Although I once retired from the industry, I still have a strong desire to be involved in the entertainment industry, so I have started a new stage producing business under the name of "Quackers".

I have been on the stage as an actor, but from now on I will devote myself to providing a place where young people can shine as a producer of productions. Please check out "Bamboo Summer 2024.

Profile of Dai Yanagishita

He started his acting career after winning the Grand Prix at the "3rd D-BOYS Audition" held by Watanabe Entertainment in 2006.

He has appeared in various dramas, movies, and stage productions, including "Tumbling" and "Hanazakari no Kimitachi e ~Ikemen☆Paradise 2011", and has also performed music as D☆DATE.

In 2020, he will leave his agency and retire from the entertainment industry.

In 2024, he will launch the stage production business "Quokkers" and restart as a producer instead of a talent.

Born on May 27, 1989. Born in Niigata Prefecture. Screenwriter and director.

He runs the theater company Analog Switch, and has written and directed plays since its launch in January 2012. He has also worked as an assistant director for Shoji Konoe, Shatner Nishida, and others. Currently, he also teaches theater at high schools and universities.

He also wrote and directed a play with actors with disabilities for "Baribara". He is also expanding his activities by writing and directing the Toei Hero Show.

After auditioning and entering the entertainment industry, Sato made his debut in 2008 in the TV drama "The Battery.

Since then, he has appeared in various productions. He has also experienced musical activities.

In August 2023, he will play the lead role in the much-talked-about stage play "Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae o Bokutachi wa Mada Shiranai." In August 2023, he played the lead role of Ninta Shukkai.

In recent years, he has been active mainly on the stage. He has experienced many stage productions and learned about directing. He has also worked behind the scenes as an assistant director and has put his own experience to use in directing.
