Bumpodo GalleryCafe (located in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; operated by Bumpodo Co., Ltd.) is pleased to announce Masako Ishizuka's solo exhibition "Recent and New Works" from January 24 (Wed) to February 6 (Tue), 2024.

The exhibition will feature 15 oil paintings, including recent representative works and the latest works, ranging from small to large size (100mm).

In her latest work, "Dream," Ishizuka expresses black as a single color for the first time. It is an image of a world where all colors, light and darkness exist together. Seeds of Light," born in the days of Corona, depicts the brightness of life and the home of life.

This exhibition will also feature several works that are featured on Art Japan Bumpodo, a website operated by Bumpodo to sell paintings. For those who cannot visit the store, you can purchase the paintings from the website.

After the Great East Japan Earthquake of March 11, 2011, she began sketching the origin of her work, and since then, she has been exploring the boundary between the visible and the invisible, and the richness of color that leads from darkness to light. Since graduating from Joshibi University of Art and Design, she has continued to present her work in solo and group exhibitions every year without affiliation.
