Hiramatsu Foods Co. (Head office: Toyohashi City, Aichi Prefecture; CEO: Kensuke Hiramatsu; URL: https://www.bisyoku.com/), which operates the "Bishoku Club" brand of tsukudani specialty stores in Umeyabu-cho, Toyohashi City, Aichi Prefecture, and Aichi Prefectural Toyohashi Commercial High School have jointly developed a tsukudani rice boiled in soy sauce called "Ochaawan Sanbai The product, "Ochawan Sanbai," will go on sale on February 13, 2012.
On February 13, we will be selling the product with eight students from Toyohashi Commercial High School, who were involved in the development of the product, at the Hiramatsu Foods Gastronomy Club Laguna store in the Laguna Ten Bosch (Laguna Gamagori) Festival Market. (*The time for selling with the high school students will be from 11:00 to 13:00.) On the same day, we will also start selling the products at the main Gastronomy Club store and on the Internet.
Ochawan Sanbaume" is a product born from the students' desire to make takikomi gohan so delicious that you would want to eat three bowls of it. The delicious flavor of the plump sansanma kabayaki and the sourness of the pickled plums will whet your appetite. Since the product is a cross between samba kabayaki and umeboshi (pickled plums), we decided to combine "sanbai" and "3 cups" to create a product name that is very high school student-like. The sauce included in the product is Hiramatsu's "secret sauce" that has been used for many years. The sauce has a refreshing sourness from the pickled plums. The depth of the sauce and the deliciousness of the saury make this sweet and spicy takikikomi-gohan a comforting dish.
It can also be served as mixed rice.
Sanma kabayaki takes three days of production before it is made into tsukudani. on the first day, the fish is laid out one by one, opened by hand, and carefully grilled. on the second day, it is slowly cooked, and on the third day, the sauce is combined to complete the dish. The traditional bamboo basket cooking method uses two types of carefully selected soy sauces, sukuchi-shoyu and tamari-shoyu, to create a deep flavor, which is enriched by the "secret sauce" that is used successively. No preservatives or coloring agents are used. The careful manufacturing process produces nandoroni that retains the original taste of the ingredients.
