■On Onsen Modeling Activities

I started visiting mixed bathing hot springs in 2016. However, we started hot spring modeling activities the following year after realizing the fact that the number of mixed bathing hot springs was decreasing. I started to send out information on SNS in the hope that more people would learn about hot springs and mixed bathing.

Although it has not always been fun, I have come to realize that I can finally make hot springs more exciting with my fans, who have always been there to support me. I also took advantage of the proceeds from the fan community platform "Mi-glamu (Mi-glamu)" to try my hand at my first photo book, and I was even invited to appear on a large screen in Shibuya. In addition, we helped crowdfund a hot spring ryokan in Akita Prefecture that had experienced a drop in the temperature of its hot spring water. Last year, we contributed to the promotion of hot springs in Miyagi, Gunma, Gifu, and Ishikawa prefectures by organizing offline meetings at hot spring resorts in those areas.

■About Support Circle & Offline Meeting

We started a circle with people who are interested in and support Shizuka's activities. The name of the circle is "Yukkatsu-tai," which is a subscriber group on CAMPFIRE, but for 500 yen per month, you can look behind the scenes of our activities, giving out private information that is not posted on SNS, holding fan meetings, and holding off-line meetings at hot springs about four times a year. Nowadays, people who have become good friends through the YU-KATSU-Tai have "no guess" drinking parties and go to hot springs. ■About the future

Shizuka has a dream to register the mixed bathing hot spring culture as a world cultural heritage. Since the current law does not allow for the creation of new mixed bathing facilities, we would like to preserve the existing mixed bathing hot springs. To achieve this goal, I would like to continue working together with my fans to "communicate the charm of Japanese hot springs to the world.

I will also continue to do my best to introduce mixed bathing hot springs throughout the country so that people can visit the hidden hot springs in rural areas that take more than three hours one way to reach in this age of easily accessible hot spring facilities even in my own living area. I will also use my English ability as a graduate of Alabama State University to provide information on hot springs in English.
