The Hokuriku GPS Art Department (Location: Kanazawa City, Ishikawa Prefecture; Representative: Motoi Ishikawa) will hold the Dinosaur GPS Art Run, an event combining art, sports, and tourism, on Sunday, March 3, 2024, to promote the forthcoming opening of the Hokuriku Shinkansen Line between Kanazawa and Tsuruga. Early in the New Year, the Noto Peninsula earthquake caused extensive damage. Now is the time for Hokuriku to come together as one. Therefore, starting from Fukui Station, a sightseeing run will be held around the GPS art of Fukui's symbol, the dinosaur. We will enliven Hokuriku with the power of sports.

What is GPS Art?
GPS Art is an artistic sport of drawing pictures and text on a map using a function that can display and record one's location.
In recent years, it has attracted attention as a non-competitive sport and a barrier-free activity.

The trailhead is the sea! This is a running team in Hokuriku that operates on the basis of "The trailhead is the sea! Many of our members live in Ishikawa Prefecture, and some of them were affected by the disaster in Noto. We made charity T-shirts to express our love for our hometown Hokuriku, Ishikawa, and Noto. The island of Suzu Mitsukejima, which is engraved on our hearts, was destroyed by the earthquake, but we hope to run with you someday in a beautifully restored Noto, with a view of Mitsukejima.
