株式会社ケアファッション
Care Fashion Co. (Head office: Honmachi, Osaka; President: Hiroshi Onishi), a developer and seller of easy-to-put-on and easy-to-remove clothing for the elderly, will publish the mail order catalog "Affectionate Care VOL. 20 & ACTIVE VOL. 16" on Friday, March 1, 2024. In this issue, we have expanded our lineup of products that are easy to put on and put on for those who have difficulty dressing themselves, under the keywords of "stretchable" and "gliding".
In response to the increase in home care and the rapid increase in demand for nursing care due to the super-aging society, we are working on the development of various products through monitoring at rehabilitation hospitals with the aim of "shortening and simplifying the time for dressing assistance and improving the comfort of the wearer".
Among them, we have focused on products that "stretch" and "glide" to make it easier for people with reduced range of motion due to aging, contractures, hemiplegia, etc. to put on and take off.
Slippery Innerwear" series
Stretchable and Slippery Innerwear Eliminates the Inconvenience of Changing!
Care Fashion is constantly working to develop clothing products that make dressing and undressing easier for people who have difficulty dressing themselves due to the decline in physical functions caused by aging, contractures, hemiplegia, and other ailments. As part of the product development process, we have been working with patients at Nishinomiya Kyoritsu Rehabilitation Hospital to get feedback from their real-life situations to help us come up with ideas for our product development. One of the patients told us that it is very inconvenient for them to change underwear. In fact, when we witnessed them changing their underwear, we found that they had a hard time putting their underwear through their necks and it took them a long time to put it on and off. After making many samples and trying on various patterns of underwear, we found that a stretchy and slippery material was the smoothest way to put on and take off the underwear, so we made a series of improvements and commercialized the product.
Verification of putting on and taking off
We have a variety of other products for various situations.
Products for Various Situations
From frail to bedridden. Aiming to develop a wide range of products that can accommodate mild to severe levels of nursing care
We have been developing products with various themes under the keyword of "elderly-friendly clothing. These include "long back tops" and "pants with a deep back crotch" designed to prevent the back from showing even if the hips or back are bent, and "Za-Beauty for Pants" to solve the problems of wheelchair users. We are also developing new products through daily evaluations at rehabilitation facilities and other facilities.
The "Slouchy Nobi Underwear" series was created with the product manager's desire to "reduce the burden of changing clothes for caregivers, home care workers, and care receivers" in mind, with particular attention paid to functionality, comfort, ease of handling, and various other aspects.
Product Manager's Comment
We focused on five major development items for "SURUTTO Nobi Nobi Innerwear.
(1) "High stretchability" that allows the arms to pass through even when the arms are bent by people with contractures.
(2) Good sliding on the inside for those who have difficulty in lifting their shoulders and can easily take them off by grabbing the collar.
(3) "Slippery fabric" on the outside that allows the jacket to be put on and taken off smoothly without getting caught when changing
(4) "Selection of cupra material" that is a highly moisture absorbent material because it is worn directly against the skin
(5) "Selection of dryer-compatible material," which is often requested for use at home or in facilities.
By repeating prototypes until we were satisfied with the results, we were able to receive many positive comments from many people who viewed our products at last year's International Home Care & Rehabilitation Exhibition (H.C.R.).
We will continue to develop and deploy products that incorporate both professional perspectives and general opinions in order to solve various "clothing problems caused by aging. (Shirai, in charge of practical clothing)
