Design Festa vol.59", one of the largest art events in Asia! Held at Tokyo Big Sight on May 18 and 19!

Design Festa Yugen Kaisha will hold "Design Festa vol. 59" on May 18 (Sat.) and 19 (Sun.), 2024, at Tokyo Big Sight in the entire West & South Halls. Design Festa began in 1994 as an art event that provided a "place for free expression" for both professionals and amateurs alike. Visitors can encounter a wide variety of expressions from more than 10,000 artists regardless of age, nationality, or genre. The attraction of the event is that visitors can experience and appreciate cross-genre expressions such as artworks that express the creator's thoughts and feelings, miscellaneous goods that add color to daily life, live performances, and gourmet foods from around the world.

Bright Booth Area

No borders such as age, gender, nationality, professional or amateur, etc. Three sizes (S, M, L) will be available, and a variety of elaborate works of various genres will be on display.

Booths with dimmed lighting at the venue are available in two sizes, S and M. Video works and expressions that make effective use of lighting will be gathered here.

Live Paintings and Giant Live Paintings Area】】

Live painting, in which works are completed over the two days of the exhibition period. This is an area unique to DESIGFEST where visitors can enjoy the works being painted on a large canvas up close.

Design Festa Gallery Harajuku opened in 1998 under the concept of "Everyday is a Design Festa. With over 70 exhibition spaces in two buildings (WEST and EAST), the gallery can be used for a variety of purposes, including solo exhibitions, group shows, and apparel pop-ups.
