The number of 「KIKISAKE-SHI」 has surpassed 50,000! 「6th World KIKISAKE-SHI Competition」 to be Held

SAKE SERVICE INSTITUTE (Address ：7F 1-15-17, Koishikawa, Bunkyo-ku, TOKYO 112-0002, JAPAN) We have been certifying 「KIKISAKE-SHI」 since 1991, and as of the end of January 2024, the number of qualified individuals both domestically and internationally has exceeded 50,000. (Including international KIKISAKE-SHI )

To commemorate the milestone of surpassing 50,000 individuals, we are conducting an exclusive gift campaign for LINE subscribers starting from March 1st(Friday).

50,000 KIKISAKE-SHI Milestone Achieved!

The qualification of "Sake Sommelier," also known as the 「KIKISAKE-SHI」, is recognized as a professional certification for providing and selling Japanese sake. It is a qualification aimed at ensuring that sake is enjoyed deliciously by consumers.

The aim is to acquire fundamental knowledge of alcoholic beverages, hospitality skills, and techniques, as well as methods of service. The goal is to enhance Japanese sake skills accurately and pursue sales promotion.

Certified Sake Sommeliers go beyond the realms of sake provision and sales, actively engaging in various roles such as seminar instructors, consulting, influencer, and managing restaurants, among others

Furthermore, this year, after a five-year hiatus, we will be hosting the "6th World KIKISAKE-SHI Competition.

The 「World KIKISAKE-SHI Competition」 aims to showcase the deliciousness and enjoyment of Japanese food culture, particularly 「Sake and Shochu」, in a clear and accurate manner to consumers. It is a competition where participants compete with their knowledge, skills, and passion to become the world's best sake sommelier who can provide and sell sake in the best possible way. With five competitions held so far, numerous KIKISAKE-SHI have entered, vying for the title of "World's Best in Sake Provision and Sales."

Not only in Japan but also in various countries around the world, the circle of KIKISAKE-SHI  aiming to 「enjoy delicious Japanese sake」 is expanding further.
