株式会社ビッグフロント
Big Front Corporation (1-27-6-203 Kami-Ochiai, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo) has signed an official contract with Raleri of Italy to begin official sales representation in Japan for goggles that can be worn during official rugby matches in 2019.
Until 2013, wearing goggles during a rugby match was prohibited.
Beginning in 2014, World Rugby commissioned the Italian company Raleri to develop goggles specifically for rugby. The goggles are currently in the second phase of trials around the world and were officially approved in July 2019.
In addition, the FLEXI type, which is lighter and fits better, has been completed with renewal starting in December 2022. To date, only the smaller size B type has been available in Japan, but in order to meet customer needs, a larger size A type will be available from March 2024.
This product is safe to wear for those who need corrective lenses or have chronic vision problems.
It is the only product in the world that is approved for use in all rugby matches (as stated in the rule book).
The Japan Rugby Football Union rules are in accordance with World Rugby rules, so it is approved to be worn in domestic matches.

Ian McKinley, who lost the sight in his left eye and once gave up playing and retired, returned to active duty in 2014, and three years later, in the fall, won his long-sought first cap for the Italian national team. McKinley lost the sight in his left eye in an accident during a game, and although he coached and worked as a coach afterwards, he was unable to break his desire to play. He put these on and returned to active duty in 2014. He became a member of his club, Benetton Treviso. McKinley was then selected for the Italian national team for the first time.
He was worn by All Blacks player Ardisavea at this year's World Cup. It was also used by the captain of Tokai University in the university quarterfinals.
