CNS Corporation (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President: Masahide Sekine; Code: 4076 TSE Growth), an IT solutions company that creates new value to advance society, has launched a new database-only service, "U-Way Lite OCI DB Model," to support the introduction of Oracle Database cloud services on Oracle's cloud service, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (hereinafter, "OCI ), Oracle's cloud service, to support the introduction of Oracle Database cloud services offered on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (hereinafter referred to as "OCI"), has started offering a new service dedicated to database, "U-Way Lite OCI DB Model," from March 2024.

Background

In July 2023, we launched "U-Way Lite OCI Base Model" to provide OCI environment with quick delivery and low cost. ( https://ssl4.eir-parts.net/doc/4076/ir_material/210415/00.pdf )

Through the above activities, we have been considering packages and options for various configuration patterns with the desire to further support our customers in resolving their concerns and issues, and to assist them in migrating to OCI in a wide variety of ways.

In the course of providing support for OCI design and construction, and the OCI Base Model, we found that many of our customers felt that there were not enough cloud experts in their companies or that the hurdles to implementing a new database in a cloud environment were too high when considering migrating an Oracle database to the cloud or introducing a new database in a cloud environment. In response to this situation, Oracle decided to provide a solution to this problem.

In response to this situation, we have developed the "U-Way Lite OCI DB Model," which builds an environment on OCI that makes it easy to use an environment including Oracle Database in the cloud.

Service Details

OCI DB Model is a service that automatically builds Oracle Base Database Service (Base DB) based on our standard design and provides customers with an environment where Oracle Database can be used on OCI.

By using OCI DB Model together with OCI Base Model, which packages the configuration centered on IaaS that serves as the foundation for using the OCI environment, customers can connect to the OCI environment and Oracle Database from their own environment immediately after the service is provided.

We are planning to develop packages or options for various configuration patterns in the future.

This model provides an environment that can use Oracle Database on OCI by combining with OCI Base Model (combination with OCI Base Model is mandatory).

We also offer an option to build a database backup environment.

Customers can also add their own resources after construction.
