Sanctuary Golf Co. (Location: Roppongi, Minato-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Junichi Hanyu), operator of Sanctuary, a reputable golf school and driving range for beginners and intermediate to advanced golfers, announces the grand opening of its first franchise store "Tomitsuru Tsukiji Store" in Tokyo's Tsukiji Outside Market, a yakiniku and tecchan nabe restaurant established in 1950 (Location: Joto-ku, Osaka; CEO: Ryuji Kinjo). The first franchise restaurant "Tomitsuru Tsukiji Store" grand opened on March 1, 2024 (Friday) at Tsukiji Outside Market in Tokyo.

This is Sanctuary Golf's second restaurant in the Tsukiji market, following Tsukiji Kaisen Housen (Location: Tsukiji, Chuo-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Daisaku Nemoto). With this, Sanctuary Golf Co., Ltd. now owns five popular brands: three brands in the indoor golf business (beginners-only, indoor golf range & school, and unmanned kun), one brand in the sushi business (Tsukiji Kaisen Housen), and one brand in the beef business (Tsukiji Tomizuru).

Sanctuary Golf has been developing its food and beverage business since last year as a new project outside of golf business subscriptions in response to growing inbound demand. The company aims to expand its business globally with the content of "Golf x Sushi x Japanese Beef" that attracts wealthy people from all over the world, as well as the hospitality that Japan prides itself on.

As part of our inbound business, we will open a restaurant in the Tsukiji Outside Market in January 2023, selling seafood inari sushi, which is made by wrapping vinegared rice in deep-fried tofu and topped with plenty of fresh sea urchin, salmon roe, and crab, and which has a history of more than 100 years. It has been highly acclaimed by visitors to Japan and Generation Z as the one and only inarizushi in Tsukiji, and sales are steadily increasing as the word spreads on social networking services. As the second phase, we have partnered with "Tomitsuru," a long-established yakiniku restaurant in Kyobashi, Osaka, to promote Japanese food culture from Tsukiji to the world with "seafood" and "Japanese beef," both of which are in high demand among tourists visiting Japan.

Sukiyaki rice burgers and sukiyaki rice bowls made with large-sized Wagyu beef loin, which is characterized by its tender and fine texture, rich flavor, and elegant sweetness carefully selected by Tomitsuru's craftsmen using a secret sauce that has not changed since its establishment, and hand-cut meat by skilled craftsmen, each beef skewer carefully hand-skewered by hand. We use fresh fried tofu from a store specializing in fried tofu established in 1889 for our inari sushi, and carefully select key seafood ingredients (sea urchin, salmon roe, crab, salmon) to match the sweetness of the fried tofu in our inari sushi.

Taking advantage of the strengths of a seafood wholesaler with 50 years of roots in Tsukiji, we serve a generous portion of the sushi right in front of the customer, making it a true "entertainment seafood inari sushi" that is visually pleasing. Every day, people from all over the world come to Tsukiji to enjoy and be impressed by our sushi, and there is always a long line of customers, mainly young people from Generation Z in Japan and inbound customers visiting Tsukiji.

Sanctuary Golf has been a "golf brand" for 13 years, a sushi wholesaler for 50 years, and a beef brand for over 73 years.

As for future development, we are preparing to expand overseas to Dubai, North America, and rapidly growing Southeast Asia as the Tsukiji brand of Japan's representative kitchen, centered on the two brands of Tsukiji Tomitsuru and Tsukiji Kaisen Housen. In line with this, we are currently looking for franchise restaurants as ghost restaurants in major areas of Japan where inbound tourism is booming.

In addition, with Windsor Park Golf & Country Club, a resort golf course in Ibaraki Prefecture, with whom we are working together as a group in the golf business to promote regional development business, we are looking for franchise restaurants that will serve Tsukiji-quality sushi and beef to golf course visitors and local residents in the surrounding area and serve as ghost restaurants that will help boost regional development. The new golf x gastronomy initiative has also succeeded as killer content software for the food and beverage department of the golf course.

All of our businesses are centered on Cool Japan hospitality, and we will continue to keep an eye on Sanctuary Golf's business development as it spans the globe based on Japanese tradition and history.
