Nireco Corporation (Hachioji, Tokyo; President: Shinichi Nakasugi) announces the availability of a 6-channel autosampler that enables continuous measurement of up to 6 samples as an option for the A8860, a near infrared spectral analyzer dedicated to liquid measurement.

The 6-channel autosampler enables continuous measurement of up to 6 samples at different temperature settings, which is a significant improvement over the 2-channel autosampler that comes as a standard feature of the A8860. This option is also available for the A8860, which has been installed to date, and is expected to further improve work efficiency in laboratory analysis, where accuracy and applicability are required.

Nireco has accumulated know-how through more than 40 years of sales and support of near infrared analyzers, and has a lineup for various applications ranging from handheld to in-line high-speed scanning models, in addition to laboratory-use models.

In 2022, we will start selling the A8860 near-infrared spectrometer dedicated to liquid samples for laboratory use, and together with the A8850 near-infrared analyzer for solid sample analysis, we will expand our self-developed near-infrared analyzers into the fields of R&D and quality control in the agriculture and food industries, and chemical industries such as pharmaceutical and chemical plants. In measurement methods that use spectroscopy, sample temperature is a factor that affects spectra, so temperature control is important when high accuracy is required. The new 6-channel autosampler for the A8860 enables temperature control close to that of actual samples by monitoring and adjusting the temperature of the sample cell. The system is also capable of continuously measuring multiple samples at different temperature settings, making it suitable not only for measurements under the same temperature conditions, but also for applications where a larger number of samples with different proper temperatures are to be measured at one time.

With the release of the 6-channel autosampler, we expect the convenience of the A8860 near-infrared spectrometer for liquid samples to be improved and its field of application to be expanded.
