Hurtan JAPAN, the official importer and distributor of Hurtan Automobiles, a Spanish coachbuilder in Japan, has started recruiting dealers to promote the "Hurtan Grand Albaycin" in Japan. Hurtan Japan will start recruiting distributors to further promote Hurtan Grand Albaycin in Japan.

Background of Recruitment of Distributors

Currently, inquiries from all over Japan are handled at our showroom in Nishi-ku, Osaka, but it is difficult to shorten the distance with customers outside of the Chubu and Kansai areas. Therefore, we are looking for a partner to grow with us in order to expand our market.

The world's one and only "Hurtan Grand Albaycin", handmade by a Spanish coachbuilder, will help you realize a fulfilling car life.

What is Hurtan?

Hurtan Automoviles is a small production auto coachbuilder (modified body manufacturer) established in Santa Fe, Spain in 1991 by Juan Ultado, who was fascinated by classic cars. The company currently produces four models of classic sports cars and one kitchen car.

■Based on the Mazda MX-5

The Grand Albaycin is the newest model in the Futan lineup. It is based on the Mazda MX-5 (Mazda Roadster), but the body is handmade with newly created parts except for the front windows and doors. There are two versions: the classic "Heritage" with plated parts everywhere and the sporty "Bespoke," each available in Cabriolet and Targa (based on the Mazda Roadster RF).

■2-liter Roadster

The powertrain is similar to that of the Mazda Roadster for Europe, with a 132-hp 4-cylinder 1.5-liter or 184-hp 4-cylinder 2.0-liter with a 6-speed manual transmission. Only the 2.0-liter Targa's 2.0-liter model has the option of a 6-speed AT. 2.0-liter Cabriolet (Roadster) with a 6-speed manual transmission is very attractive because it is not available in the Japanese version, and most orders are for the 2.0-liter model.

■Classical exterior

The undulating, voluminous design and fenders give the car a classic car feel, and there is no trace of the base model. The overall length is 29 cm longer, 5.5 cm wider, and 1 cm lower than the base vehicle. The body color can be specified according to the customer's preference, and it is possible to order a unique color such as "Rosso Corsa" or "Opsidian Black" as well as a matte finish.

■Luxurious interior

The interior is the same as the base MX-5, but the abundant use of leather and wood gives it a completely different and more luxurious feel than the base model. As with the body color, the material and color of the interior upholstery can be freely decided.
