Introducing the World's First in Clusters AI Avatar Customer Service the Conversational Generative AI "AI Abenobea"! Released on the First Anniversary of Virtual Abeno Harukas operated by Kintetsu Real Estate Co.

Cluster, Inc. (Headquarters: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Naoto Kato, hereinafter will be referred to as “cluster”) operates one of Japan’s largest metaverse platforms, “cluster”, with a cumulative event attendance of over 35 million people, will host a metaverse space in collaboration with Kintetsu Real Estate Corporation (Headquarters: Tennoji-ku, Osaka; President: Takahisa Kurashi) at the virtual Abeno Harukas. AI Abenoabea, a conversational generative AI which utilizes a large language model developed and provided by OpenAI will be introduced. Customers will be able to experience a whole new kind of customer service in a virtual space. 

Based on studies conducted by Cluster, Inc., this is the first initiative in the world to serve customers in a “cluster” using AI avatars.

In the recent years, AI customer service has gained increasing interest as digital transformation (DX) is expected to solve the problems of labor shortages and lessen the workload of employees.

This time, “AI Abenoabea”, the conversational AI will be introduced. The motif is based on a character from Abeno Harukas 300 Observation Deck, “Abenobea”. It will automatically generate answers to questions from customers making it possible for users to enjoy daily conversations.

In addition to providing information on the virtual Abeno Harukas, the system also conveys the charms of the real Abeno Harukas.

Apart from serving as a demonstration experiment to address issues such as lack of manpower associated with the introduction of AI, it is anticipated to provide new avenues for interactive communication in virtual spaces, including entertaining and therapeutic interactions for users.

In conjunction with the introduction of “AI Abenobea”, the “Abeno Bear Room” will be opened in the virtual Abeno Harukas. This will be the room where “Abenobea” will spend time in. 

Additionally, visitors can purchase furniture and other craft items in the Abeno Harukas Room. Purchased items can be used in the “World Craft” section of the cluster. This will allow users to enjoy “Abenobea” in a world outside of the “Abenobea Room”. 

In connection with the 10th Anniversary of the real Abeno Harukas, new contents were introduced on March 7, 2024.

About "AI Abenoabea," a Conversational Generative AI

AI Abenobea will appear in every world of Virtual Abeno Harukas. The wall monitor in the “Abenobea Room” is available anytime for you to check the location of AI Abenobea.

II. Automatically Generates Answers and Engages in Conversation

The chat feature supported by conversational AI developed and provided by OpenAI automatically generates a conversation allowing you to have an interactive communication with Abenobea. Other than daily conversation, the system also provides information about the virtual Abeno Harukas while conveying the appeal of both real and virtual Abeno Harukas.

III. Multiple Language Support

In response to requests from numerous organizations, we have developed AI-based avatar customer service in the metaverse space for implementation. The utilization of this service is the first in the Virtual Abeno Harukas. We hope that many of you will give it a try.

A paid attraction based on Abeno Harukas’, Edge the Harukas. Like a full-scale roller coaster, complete with undulating rails, height variations, and wind sounds.

Ticket cost: 500 CC (cluster coins). 3 months of unlimited rides after purchase.

Edge the Harukas is a deck 300m above ground. It is installed on the top of the outer glass of the real Abeno Harukas skyscraper. Visitors stand on a 60 cm. wide, 20 meters long deck at the very edge of the building with a breathtaking 360-degree view of the cityscape and scenery without any obstructions. This thrilling experience can be reproduced virtually at Abeno Harukas.

This attraction is based on the building maintenance gondola used at Abenos Harukas. Visitors can compete for points in a game of wiping the exterior glass windows while riding the gondola. Moreover, rankings are updated weekly!
