■Background of Development
Our company participated in a study tour organized by "Patagonia" and "Yamapu" in February 2023.
We were surprised to see the marine plastic problem and marine debris in Tsushima, which was many times worse than the images we saw in the media, and to see the tremendous amount of plastic debris.
The sight of so much marine debris was sad, and I felt it was a "waste" to have such a large amount of debris left unattended.
Therefore, our company, which is in the business of plastic recycling, thought that we could contribute to the beautiful sea of Tsushima through the power of business, and commercialized "Re:Ocean@TSUSHIMA", which is 100% recycled plastic pellets from Tsushima's drifting plastic garbage.

■Product Features
*These are recycled plastic pellets repelleted from only plastic trash that has drifted ashore in Tsushima.
The plastic garbage washed ashore is sorted by "type" and "color," and then repelleted respectively. The lineup includes "blue tanks," "white baskets," and "yellow buoys.
10% of the proceeds are donated to Tsushima City.
Tsushima City spends about 280 million yen annually for collection and disposal, but the annual collection volume is only about 8,000 cubic meters, or about 1/4 of the total, and the city has not been able to secure the necessary budget to collect and dispose of all the litter that washes ashore.
*Addressing SDG Goal 14 "Protect the richness of our oceans
Drifted marine plastics can be directly reduced by material recycling and pelletizing (turning into raw materials). We hope that the products made from "Re:Ocean@TSUSHIMA" will trigger people to think about the ocean plastic problem and promote SDGs activities of each company.
As of the end of March 2024, we have repelleted about 40 tons of plastics washed ashore in Tsushima.
