What is Japan Food Selection?
The Japan Food Selection is Japan's first food and food ingredient evaluation system, selected by 23,000 food analysts who are experts in food information and communication. Products are judged and determined based on evaluations that take into consideration the delicate tastes, preferences, sensibilities, and food culture of the Japanese people. The products are evaluated by qualified food analysts in five stages (document review, questionnaire survey, first screening, second screening, and final screening) based on 100 check items, including internal factors, external factors, market factors, management factors, safety factors, and branding factors. The score ratio in the judging items is 90% or higher. Only products that receive a score of 90% or more in each of the judging categories will be awarded the Grand Prix.
