The shop'Shibusawa Ippinkan' with Ouei Co. (President: Hirotoshi Nagano), a company rooted in Tokyo's Kita-city, is promoting a local development project. As part of the "New 10,000-yen Note Issuance Countdown Project," which is being undertaken in cooperation with Kita-city in preparation for the issuance of the new 10,000-yen bill in July, we have developed "Osatsu no Osatsu Bread," Japan's first new 10,000-yen bill.

In April 2023, we will open the "Shibusawa Ippinkan" (Shibusawa Ippinkan) in Kita-city, where Eiichi Shibusawa spent the last 30 years of his life, with the aim of disseminating his achievements and teachings that are still relevant today. The Shibusawa Ippinkan TSUNAGU marche is a local development project that sells products related to Grand old man, Eiichi Shibusawa. Japan's first new 10,000 yen bill "Osatsu no Osatsu Bread"

This is Japan's first 10,000-yen bill bread modeled after the new 10,000-yen bill with Eiichi Shibusawa's portrait, which will be redesigned in July for the first time in 20 years. The inside of the bread is filled with homemade sweet potato filling, based on the association between the word "bill=osatsu" and "osatsu," meaning "sweet potato". It is the same size as a real 10,000 yen bill, and has a cute illustration of Eiichi Shibusawa on the front. The bread is made without water to make it moist and tender.

The deep sweetness of the red bean paste and the fluffy, cocoa-flavored dough make this bread a favorite of Eiichi Shibusawa.
