Cool tones echo in the village of unexplored kilns! Summer-Only "Wind Chime Festival" at Okawachiyama, Imari City, Saga Prefecture The festival will be held from Saturday, June 15!

Imari Nabesshima Pottery  Cooperative Association will hold a summer-only " Wind Chime Festival " from June 15, 2024  (Sat) to August 31, 2024 (Sat) at Okawachiyama, Imari  City, Saga Prefecture.

The Wind Chime Festival, which started in 2004, is a popular summer event in Okawachiyama , Imari City, Saga Prefecture. About  1,000 wind chime made by about 30 potteries in Okawachiyama , Imari City, Saga Prefecture, will be  displayed in front of each store, and the cool sound of the wind chime will echo in the village of hidden kilns  surrounded by the fresh green mountains. Why don't you spend a relaxing time at  the " Wind Chime Festival " in Okawachiyama , Imari City, Saga Prefecture?

Event Details

(1) Exhibition and sale of wind chime at each pottery and wind chime racks in the plaza in front of Imari Nabeshima-yaki  Kaikan

Wind Chime will be exhibited and sold at each kiln.

There are wind chime  of original shapes, colors and designs, and each porcelain wind chime has a different tone.

(2) Exhibition of summer tableware / summer coordination by the Nabeshima Okami-kai

We will display all kinds of cool-looking vessels.

A table coordination exhibition by the Okami of the kiln will also be held at the same time.

Period: July 10 (Wed) - August 31 (Sat)

Place: Traditional Industry Hall for Imari and AritaPttery

(3) A limited number of 100 Imariyaki "balloon wind chimes" will be sold!

This balloon wind chime was produced to celebrate the 350th anniversary of Imari Nabeshima  porcelain in 2025 and to promote Saga Prefecture! This "Balloon Wind Chime " features a basket attached  to the wind chime. A limited number of 100 will  be sold during the Wind Chime Festival.
