Tsugaru Kaikyo Ferry to Participate in "Gosenin Meguri Project"! Seasonally designed "Gosenin" stamps will be on sale from July 1.

Tsugaru Kaikyo Ferry Co. (Head office: Hakodate City, Hokkaido; President: Takahisa Kashiwagi; hereafter "Tsugaru Kaikyo Ferry") will start selling "Gosenin" (seal of the ship) from Monday, July 1, 2024. We wanted to offer something to commemorate our customers who have chosen Tsugaru Kaikyo Ferry and to make the boat trip more accessible to them. We have decided to participate in the "Gosenin Meguri Project" in order to make our customers who choose Tsugaru Kaikyo Ferry feel more familiar with boat trips. We have created a series of seasonal and differently designed seals for each of the five vessels. We feel that this is a great opportunity for those who like collecting them to come aboard. We hope you will take this opportunity to pick up a copy of "Tsugaru Kaikyo Ferry's Gosenin".

What is a "Gosenin"?

Gosenin" is a ship's version of the "Goshuin" given at temples and shrines, and shipping companies and maritime museums around Japan issue their own seals. The "Gosenin Meguri" is a boat trip to collect "Gosenin" seals. This project started in April 2021 as an official project of the Japan Passenger Boat Association.

The "Gosenin Meguri Project Secretariat" was established under the leadership of Ms. Nozomi Kobayashi, a ship travel ambassador for the association, to provide support for issuing the seals, disseminate information, and publish an official ship seal book to which the seals are affixed.

It also implements the "Gosenin Master" system, a title system in which people are certified based on the number of Gosenin they have collected.

Design: The design of the product is based on the sightseeing spots and specialties of Muroran, Hakodate, Aomori, and Oma, which are the destinations of all five vessels.
