Fumuroya, a Kaga fu specialty store established in 1865 (Keiou era) (Headquarters: Kanazawa City, Ishikawa Prefecture), has launched a new product, "Takara-Fu Ishikawa" at 21 Fumuroya stores in Japan in June 2024.

Fumuroya has been making "Kaga-fu", one of Kanazawa's representative food culture, which has been enjoyed as a preserved food by the former Kaga clan (Kanazawa City, Ishikawa Prefecture) since the feudal era.

As a company that has long been doing business in Ishikawa Prefecture, and as a company that also has contact with people outside of Ishikawa Prefecture in the form of its stores, we wondered if there was anything we could do, however small, to help the Noto Peninsula earthquake recovery efforts. It is said that it will take 10 years to recover from the earthquake, but as time goes by, memories of and interest in the recovery efforts are beginning to fade across the country. We were driven by this thought.

The wrapping paper features tourist attractions in Noto, Kanazawa, and Kaga, and the box is decorated with a pattern resembling a stone wall. Reiterating the appeal of Ishikawa and expressing the company's love for Noto. The light, refreshing osumashi with the elegant aroma of kombu dashi (kelp dashi) and the Kaga fu that reflects Noto's beautiful flower "Noto Kirishimatsutsuji" were placed on the top.

5% of the proceeds from the sale of "Takara-Fu Ishikawa" will be donated to the Japanese Red Cross Society as a "Donation for the 2024 Noto Peninsula Earthquake Disaster Relief Fund. The product can be purchased at any of our stores and online, so please use it as a gift for your loved ones as well as a souvenir of your sightseeing in Kanazawa.
