ROYAL CHESTER NAGASAKI hotel&retreat" in Nagasaki City, Nagasaki Prefecture, operated by Garden Terrace Hotels, Inc. will hold an event from July 16, 2024 (Tuesday) to August 31, 2024 (Saturday), where guests can experience making glass plates and painting wind chimes in "colors unique to Nagasaki. Since the opening of the port in 1571, various technologies, goods, and cultures have been introduced to Nagasaki. Glass was one of them. Glass products were very expensive at the time, but the Nagasaki glass industry flourished thanks to a combination of factors, including the importation of European products, the availability of the raw material, white stone, and the skills of foreign glass workers who brought their skills to Nagasaki.

It is said that "Nagasaki Biidoro," now a standard Nagasaki souvenir, was created between 1624 and 1973.
