Singapore Fair 2024" at Meidi-ya Store from 8/7(Wed.) Expanding the number of products and stores handling them, including the popular product that sold about 200 units in one week last year

Meidi-ya, a supermarket that operates three stores in Singapore and offers imported foods and other products in Japan, Enterprise Singapore, a Singaporean government agency that supports the development of Singaporean companies, and the Singapore Food Manufacturers' Association (SFMA) will jointly open two flagship stores of Meidi-ya Stores in Tokyo (Meidi-ya Stores) for a week from August 7 (Wed.) to August 13 (Tue.), Singapore Food Manufacturers' Association (SFMA), a Singaporean government agency that supports the development of Singaporean companies, will jointly hold "Singapore Fair 2024" from August 7 (Wed) to August 13 (Tue) at the two flagship stores (Hiroo and Ebisu) of the Meidi-ya Store in Tokyo. The number of items handled will increase from 68 last year to 78 this year with the addition of new items such as frozen dim sum. This year, "Spicy Singapore Fried Noodles" and "Singapore Chicken Rice," which were the talk of the town last year when approximately 200 units were sold in one week, as well as the chilled dessert "Douhua" that sold out every day, will be on display again. Some of the products will also be sold at the Kyobashi Store and Tamagawa Store in Tokyo and Sendai Ichibancho Store in Miyagi Prefecture during the same period, expanding the number of stores that carry them. The press conference was held at Meidi-ya Hall (Kyobashi, Tokyo) on Thursday, August 1, with Ambassador ONG Eng Chuan of the Embassy of Singapore, Mr. Taichiro Isono, President of Meidi-ya Corporation, and representatives of Singaporean food and beverage manufacturers on stage. They all spoke enthusiastically about their enthusiasm for this year's fair under the concept of "Made With Passion. Made With Passion" is a national initiative to introduce a collection of carefully selected lifestyle brands in Singapore and celebrate the passion behind them.

At the press conference, Ambassador Ong Eng Chuan of the Embassy of Singapore said, "We are pleased to provide our friends in Japan with an opportunity to taste Singapore's delicacies and to further promote cultural exchange and mutual understanding between our two countries. Mr. Taichiro Isono, President and Representative Director of Meidi-ya Corporation said, "This year, the number of products and stores handling them will be expanded for the second time. We want our customers to enjoy an experience as if they were shopping in Singapore. We would also like to develop the "Meidi-ya Store" so that we can continue to sell as many Singapore products as possible," he said enthusiastically.
