Communicating Symptoms
In recent years, more and more foreigners have been working in Japan to compensate for the declining domestic workforce. In addition, many foreigners from diverse backgrounds, including families of foreign workers and foreign students, are living in Japan. On the other hand, there are many foreigners who live in Japan without sufficient Japanese language skills for basic living in Japan and knowledge of how to live in Japan. To help these foreigners cope with daily problems and challenges, ATEIN has been producing video materials in which they can learn useful Japanese phrases for daily life situations. Currently, we are also promoting the multilingualization of our video materials so that foreigners can learn in their own native languages.
However, in real life, it is difficult to lead a smooth life unless one has not only knowledge of Japanese expressions and communication, but also sufficient knowledge of Japanese customs, manners, rules, and the structure of Japanese society. In order to respond to a wide variety of situations in daily life, the content currently provided is not sufficient, and we need to further expand the content.
Even if the materials are about Japanese society and the Japanese language, it is difficult for foreigners to fully understand the content without explanations in their native languages.
For this reason, we have produced a new series of video lectures, "Japanese in Daily Life," which are available in multiple languages and categorized by theme, so that many foreigners living in Japan can easily view and understand them and help solve various problems they may face.
In addition to knowledge related to procedures, medical care, and evacuation, which are considered highly necessary and urgent in daily life, understanding trash separation and other rules and manners are also essential to avoid problems in daily life. Based on this, this course will take up the following 20 themes as the major categories, and will be produced in order from those that are considered to be in high demand in daily life.
