About the Special Talk Event "The Golden History of Nippon Herald Films in the 80s
From the 1960s to the early 2000s, NIHON Herald Films led the film exhibition industry as the leading independent film distributor, together with Toho Towa.
Especially in the 1970s, NIHON Herald strengthened its originality and led a variety of genre films to become hits, often creating social phenomena.
Mr. Naoyuki Sakaue was a key figure in driving the golden era of Nippon Herald Films from the 1970s to the 1990s.
He is a veteran of nearly half a century in the distribution business and is still active today.
In this special event, Mr. Sakagami will talk about the history of the golden age of Nippon Herald Pictures in chronological order.
In the previous talk, Mr. Sakagami talked about how he left Nippon Herald Films in the early 80's and was transferred to Herald Ace Co.
Before the talk, there will be a reference screening.
After the show, there will be a reception with Mr. Sakagami at the bar (additional fee required), so those who love the Japanese Herald films that once thrilled movie fans are welcome to attend!
