A large-format jazz concert of famous songs from Japanese anime! Superb Hop Band" will hold its 4th live concert September 15 in Shinagawa, Tokyo with David Matthews!

The Superb Hop Band is a jazz-large ensemble formed in 2020 by young to mid-career players active in various music genres, led by composer/arranger Louis Kihara. Their fourth live concert "Far East PopCulture4 Cheers to reunion" (organized by WdField's Music Lab.) will be held on Sunday, September 15, 2024 at "Tennozu Isle KIWA (2-1-3 Higashi-Shinagawa, Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo)".

Masterpieces reborn by a large jazz ensemble

The Superb Hop Band's fourth series of performances, "Far East Pop Culture," will be held with an expanded repertoire after a one-year hiatus, featuring nine wind instruments and a five-member rhythm section. The stage will offer a special sound of famous songs that have colored subculture and pop culture in Japan. The past three live performances have been well received by all quarters, featuring superb performances and precise ensembles by members active at the forefront of various musical genres.

The Superb Hop Band's repertoire is composed entirely of newly written arrangements, including the theme song "We Are! is an arrangement by Grammy Award-winning master David Matthews. David Matthews will be a special guest performer at this live concert. Please look forward to a collaboration between a Japanese subculture/pop culture work and a contemporary jazz master.

■Tickets for distribution are now on sale!

The first festival in 2020 was streamed only due to the Corona disaster, but from the second festival in 2021 onward, it will be streamed live at the same time as the live concerts that can be enjoyed at the venue. Tickets for the 4th edition of "Far East PopCulture 4" are now on sale in addition to tickets for the venue. Even if you are far away from the venue, you can enjoy the exciting live performance from the comfort of your own home.
