Subculture Miscellaneous Alternative Site "Sabamiri Map We are looking for works of horrifying ghost stories and strange tales! Keep telling us the weirdest stories..."

SabaMiriMap (operated by the SabaMiriMap Steering Committee), a subculture miscellaneous alternative site that tickles your curiosity with themes of occult, mystery, urban legend, ghost stories, history, and military, will begin an ongoing call for entries "Keep telling us strange stories..." on September 1, 2024. We are looking for stories that are similar to, or even more than, those in the past "Let us tell you a scary story," regardless of genre, including scary stories based on real experiences, ghost stories, strange stories, unknown urban legends, conspiracy stories, folk tales, and stories that are not only occult but also hitokowa or realistically frightening.

Details

We do not accept simple stories such as "I'm scared" because a ghost appeared.

The minimum requirement for submission is that the story must consider the cause or reason, tickle the curiosity, and incite fear.

We prefer stories based on real-life experiences, but creative stories are also acceptable.

Applicants must be able to write and submit stories via the Internet, regardless of whether they are professional or amateur.

Those under 18 years of age must have the consent of a parent or guardian.

There is no limit to the number of entries.

We recommend a title of no more than 30 words and a body of at least 600 words.

Please submit your work as a txt or word file.

If you have photos, please send them separately without embedding them in the word file.

Publication and Awards

The committee members will select the submitted entries, and those that meet the criteria will be posted on the media (website, SNS, video distribution) operated by the committee as needed.

If the total value of the evaluation buttons on the site reaches +50 within one month of publication, the first article to be selected each month will receive an Amazon gift as an incentive prize.

The most popular articles among the incentive award winners will be selected by the Executive Committee members, and the Excellence Award will be awarded quarterly (March, June, September, and December), and the winner will receive an Amazon gift.

Encouragement Award: Amazon Gift 500 yen

Excellence Award: Amazon gift of 3,000 yen

Please refrain from submitting the same work to other competitions.

Please refrain from submitting content that is offensive to public order and morals, critical, slanderous, or antisocial in nature.

Do not infringe on the portrait rights, copyrights, trademarks, or other rights of third parties, including those of actual companies or persons.

When using the name of a specific individual, company, character, etc., please keep it anonymous.

Quotations from other works may be accepted depending on the content of the quotation. Please be sure to include the source of the quotation.

When using unique dialects, phrases, or other expressions, please include any necessary supplementary explanations.

Please be sure to review your work before submitting it for publication if it contains many typographical errors or omissions.

We will accept replacements or changes within 24 hours of submission, but we may not be able to accept such changes depending on the circumstances.

We will give priority to the submitter's wishes, but may revise paragraphs, line breaks, and text for visibility and readability.

We reserve the right to revise the submitted work for use outside of the website.

Entry data will not be returned.

We will not be able to respond to any inquiries regarding the criteria for selection or the timing of publication.

Copyrights and Works

All rights to the submitted works (including the rights stipulated in Articles 27 and 28 of the Copyright Act) belong to the organizer.
