DS Celuria Corporation (Head office: Chiba City, Chiba Prefecture; Representative Director: Naoya Kitamura), a member of the DS Healthcare Group (Representative and CEO: Ikuo Samutake), announces that it has acquired 100% of the shares of IM Corporation (Head office: Asaka City, Saitama Prefecture; Representative Director: Masaru Iwasaki), making it a subsidiary as of August 30, 2024. The acquisition is effective as of August 30, 2024.

Background and Future Prospects

As the population ages, 6 million baby boomers will be aged 75 or older by 2025, and the aging rate will exceed 30%. There is an urgent need to develop the infrastructure for home care, and we are also promoting the expansion of our home-visit nursing business. Currently, our home nursing business provides services to 600 patients from 7 offices (3 in Tokyo and 4 in Chiba Prefecture). We are aiming to expand this to 10 offices within two years and build a system capable of providing services to more than 1,000 people.

We have entered into this agreement because of the synergistic effects with our existing offices and the ability to improve management efficiency. We will continue to aggressively consider M&A opportunities in the future.
