■ Synopsis

Nana Tokudaiji, a fourth-year film student at Jonan University and an aspiring actor, is the leader of the "Urban Legend Research Circle.

She is the leader of the "Urban Legend Research Circle." The circle has a video-sharing website, YoTube Channel, but it is not getting a lot of hits. So, Nana proposes to go around to "haunted spots" and shoot videos there as part of the summer training camp. They decided to go to an abandoned school where Sadako's grudge is sealed, which is said to be the "most terrifying" of all. The circle member Sayaka Kaga decides to have Tsumugi Yamaguchi, an aspiring film director in the Department of Imaging Arts and Sciences, act as cameraman, and Tsumugi brings along Masai Oka, a first-year student in the Department of Imaging Arts and Sciences, as an assistant. When the group visited the abandoned school, Masaya thought she heard strange voices at the site, but nothing was captured on video. A few days later, the circle members headed to the villa for a training camp with their advisor, professor Mio Nakagawa, and Yorika Iizuna, daughter of Katsuko Iizuna, a medium who once died in a confrontation with Sadako. However, on the night they head to Nana's villa, a series of unexplainable phenomena occur and one after another, the members of the group die mysterious and suspicious deaths. Later, when he revisits the video taken at the abandoned school, he finds a woman who looks like Sadako in the video that showed nothing... And then Sadako emerges from the video screen. 35 years ago, Sadako's grudge against him still continues.
