Harumaki-ya, a spring roll specialty restaurant in Kanazawa City, Ishikawa Prefecture, is launching a gluten-free "rice spring roll" on the crowdfunding site CAMPFIRE, invented to celebrate its third anniversary on September 1, 2024. The spring rolls are made with a rice flour crust and as little chemical seasoning as possible so that wheat allergy sufferers and health-conscious people can enjoy them with peace of mind. In order to bring Mom's Spring Rolls to as many people as possible, we are crowdfunding.
Background of the Gluten-Free "Rice Spring Rolls
Harumaki-ya has been bringing smiles to many people's faces through Mom's Spring Rolls. In response to the earnest comments from regular customers, such as "I can't eat spring rolls because I have a wheat allergy" and "I want to enjoy my favorite food with my family," a strong desire to provide an environment where people with wheat allergies can enjoy spring rolls was born.
Harumaki-ya" is working to develop gluten-free and allergy-free spring rolls so that people with wheat allergies can enjoy delicious spring rolls with their families.

About "Rice Spring Rolls
Five points of particularity
1Gluten-free spring rolls
Rice flour is used for the spring roll skin. The rice flour is also used for the rice flakes, making the spring rolls safe to eat even for those with wheat allergies.
2Health-conscious
With health as our number one priority, we use as little chemical seasoning as possible. We aim to make spring rolls that can be eaten every day with peace of mind, as a dish that is also gentle on the body.
3Correspondence to 8 specified allergy items
No ingredients contain the 8 specified ingredients (shrimp, crab, walnuts, wheat, buckwheat, eggs, milk, and peanuts). In addition, this spring roll is safe for those with shiitake mushrooms, bamboo shoots, and food allergies.
4Handmade by three family members every morning
These handmade rice-flour spring rolls are rolled by hand every morning by three family members who put their heart and soul into it. Each one is carefully wrapped with Mom's special flavor. You can feel the warmth that only handmade products can bring, and it is a product filled with the love of the family.

(The following is an excerpt from the crowdfunding page)
Harumaki-ya started in September 2021 with my 70 year old mother in a kitchen car after she left her job.
My mom's spring rolls are so good, why don't you start a restaurant with us? Four years have passed since she said this, and Mom is now 73 years old.
These days, we joke about it every day. ......
I am truly grateful that we have been able to deliver many spring rolls to people all over the country over the past three years. My desire to deliver Mom's spring rolls to as many people as possible, which I have been thinking about since the beginning of the business, has become even stronger. I am now even more determined to deliver my mother's spring rolls to as many people as possible.
It was during this time that I learned of the existence of "wheat allergies" and decided to plan this project. It was my first project and I was full of anxiety, but "Team Harumaki-ya" managed to give it shape.
My mom is still asking, "What's a crafan?" and I don't understand it that well, but I think there will be a time to ask for support in my mother's way. We will continue to deliver "deliciousness" today and tomorrow, aiming to be the best spring roll shop in Japan, so please give us your support!
