Shimano Corporation (Sabae City, Fukui Prefecture) have developed a radiation observation robot in collaboration with Dr. Masaki Sato, a senior researcher at the Japan Atomic Energy Agency (JAEA), for the purpose of reducing radiation exposure of workers at decommissioning sites and contributing to the planning of work. The results of the project will be announced in September and October. The current results will be presented at exhibitions in September and October.
