The Matsudaira Yamato no Kami Kenshousai Executive Committee will hold the "4th Matsudaira Yamato no Kami Kenshousai" on October 19, 2024, at Rakuhodo Maebashi Park and Rinkokaku in Maebashi City, Gunma Prefecture. (3-15 Otemachi, Maebashi City).
The event will include a firearms demonstration by an artillery unit associated with the Matsudaira family, the Maebashi City-designated Important Cultural Property "Armor of the Yamatomori Matsudaira family, Lord of Maebashi (Naritsune)," and a special exhibition of the famous sword "Shikibu Masamune" (restored). Background of this event.
The Matsudaira family, which ruled Maebashi during the Edo period (1603-1867), was descended from Hideyasu Tokugawa, the second son of Ieyasu Tokugawa, and is known for having relocated to various parts of Japan.
This event will be held with the aim of disseminating and honoring the achievements of the Maebashi Domain Lord, the Matsudaira family.

This event will be held at the former site of Maebashi Castle to honor the Matsudaira Family, the lord of Maebashi Domain.
The "Maebashi Domain (Maebashi-han)" firearms team led by Naoyuki Matsudaira, the 18th generation of the Matsudaira family, will give a powerful firearms demonstration at Rakuhodo Maebashi Park, the site of the former Maebashi Castle.
The event has been held three times so far and has attracted a wide range of visitors, from children to history buffs, regardless of gender or age.
