The total amount exceeded 850,000 yen.

We will hold workshops and seminars on his "experience as a producer and leader" and "drinking good coffee" with Mr. Ephrem, who came to Japan on Wednesday, October 9 to visit coffee buyers and lovers around Japan until he returns to Japan on October 16.

Background of development

In recent years, the market for "specialty coffee," which has diverse flavors such as flowers and fruits in a gorgeous, clean taste without any cloying taste, has been expanding as it is loved by many people.

On the other hand, amidst the concern about the survival crisis of high-quality coffee, known as the "2050 problem" mainly due to climate change, Coffee Roots was founded last year with the belief that we want to create a world where people can continue drinking "great coffee made by small-scale producers," who suffer especially severely from this crisis.

The coffee of Mr. Ephrem, who lives in Burundi, is a coffee with a rich flavor that can be traced back to the producer through a careful process, and has been well received by roasters (roasting green coffee), baristas (café brewers), general consumers, and many others.

We hope to increase the number of fans of this coffee and build a sustainable coffee business in line with the SDGs by sharing the flavor and letting people know about "Mr. Ephrem's life and experience" of more than 40 years of dedication to coffee and people.
