Silex Announces Embedded Wireless LAN Modules Compatible with Latest Wi-Fi 7 Standard SX-PCEBE and SX-PCEBE-AP

Silex Technology, Inc., a global leader in wireless technology, has announced the SX-PCEBE industrial embedded wireless LAN module and the SX-PCEBE-AP access point module, both of which support the latest Wi-Fi 7 (IEEE 802.11be) standard. In recent years, the increase in the number of Wi-Fi devices has caused a lot of radio interference, affecting the stability of wireless LANs in industrial and medical settings. Wi-Fi 7 is a technology that suppresses such interference and improves communication efficiency, enabling stable communication of large amounts of data, which has raised expectations in various fields. Silex applies Wi-Fi 7 technology to industrial and medical equipment and provides embedded wireless LAN modules that meet industry-specific needs.
Designs that reflect user feedback to provide wireless communications suitable for industrial and medical applications
When converting industrial equipment to wireless, different challenges arise depending on the application. Silex has developed a wireless LAN module with the following features to help customers solve these issues.
Compared to our conventional products, the SX-PCEBE-AP achieves a communication distance that is approximately twice as long as that of our conventional products*.
The SX-PCEBE-AP is designed with high output power to allow radio waves to reach farther. For example, if the SX-PCEBE-AP is mounted on an access point connected to a wearable camera, stable communication is possible even when workers are far away from the access point.

Wireless LAN Driver for Streamlining Transplantation Work
Silex's wireless LAN driver has been tested with NXP's Layerscape(R) processor to support efficient porting work. This allows customers to concentrate on the development of the main functions and enables rapid product development.
Proposals for stable, simultaneous communication with minimal radio interference are also possible.
SX-PCEBE and SX-PCEBE-AP can be mounted on the same device and used simultaneously. Normally, using multiple wireless LAN modules at the same time causes radio interference, but Silex can also propose a mechanism (patent pending) to reduce this interference and achieve stable communication. This technology follows the changing radio environment and is also effective for wireless communication in moving equipment such as vehicles.
