Light up The Life-Sized Unicorn Gundam Statue for Winter limited 24-25 Ver. from November 30, 2024 (Sat.)- February 16, 2025(Sun.)

SOTSU CO.,LTD. (President: Hideyuki Namba, Head Office: Suginami-ku, Tokyo) and Bandai Namco Filmworks Inc (President: Makoto Asanuma, Head Office: Suginami-ku, Tokyo) will light up The Life-sized Unicorn Gundam Statue at DiverCity Tokyo Plaza 2F Festival Plaza from November 30, 2024 (Saturday) 

to February 16, 2025 (Sunday). The Life-sized Unicorn Gundam statue will be illuminated for the winter season only.

This year's theme is the 45th anniversary of "Mobile Suit Gundam." The standing statue is illuminated in the tricolor that symbolizes the Gundam series, and a special illustration commemorating 45 years is decorated with the moon, the theme of the anniversary logo, making it a photo spot that many visitors can enjoy. The moon is the theme of the 45th anniversary logo.

What is "Mobile Suit Gundam UC [Unicorn]"?

Mobile Suit Gundam UC [Unicorn]" is an animation work based on the novel of the same title written by author Harutoshi Fukui and adapted by Sunrise Inc. in 2010 as a new chapter in the story set in the "Space Century" that has continued from "Mobile Suit Gundam".

Set three years after "Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack," the story follows the main character, Banagher Links, as he encounters the pure white mobile suit "Unicorn Gundam" and survives the war between the Earth Federation Forces and the Neo Zeon remnants, the Sleeves. The profound story, fascinating characters, and mechanical design by Hajime Katoki have been widely accepted by Gundam fans, and the series has become a big hit with a total of 3 million copies of the novel, 1.9 million Blu-ray and DVDs, and more than 1 million paid subscriptions.
