Fuminori Yamamoto, a management consultant at L&H LLC (located in Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture), a restaurant management company, is conducting a crowdfunding campaign to develop curry for cancer patients and operate a curry restaurant "Aijon Curry," based on the fact that he was able to eat curry even though he was suffering from anorexia due to anti-cancer drug treatment. Crowd funding is being conducted until January 31, 2025 (Friday).

Curcumin in curry has antioxidant properties, and other spices also help improve one's constitution. This project is to provide such curry to people who have the same problem.

Aijon Curry" for cancer patients

Background of development

When Fuminori Yamamoto was diagnosed with colorectal cancer and was able to eat curry even when he had a poor appetite due to anticancer drug treatment, he researched curry and found that it has a high antioxidant effect and is beneficial to the body, and that there are few cancer patients among Indians and Sri Lankans who eat curry all the time.

At that time, when I was looking at M&A information for my work, I came across a deal to transfer the business of a curry café, and I decided to develop a curry that is easy for cancer patients to eat for my own sake.

Curcumin used in curry is originally high in antioxidants, and by adding broccoli, cabbage, carrots, nuts, and reishi mushrooms, which are considered good for cancer patients to eat, we developed a curry that is even better for the body.

Retort Curry

Retort pouch curries are made so that they can be eaten outside of stores, and can be purchased online. We are also developing a low-priced product that can be used on a regular basis.

Relationship with agriculture

The representative himself is a farmer and is supporting the revitalization of agriculture through the "NPO Noraku Match Study Group. The company actively uses out-of-spec agricultural products produced by its member farmers as ingredients for its curry, contributing to cost reductions and increased profits for the farmers.

Thoughts on the Project

The project aims to support farmers who are suffering from the same problems as the farmers, and to help them to reduce the cost of their products and to increase their profits. Through this project, we would like to contribute to improving the dietary habits of those who are suffering from the same problem.
