Cinema Novecento, Inc. will hold screenings of the buddy cop classic "Farewell, Fallen Detective" on February 15 and 16, 2025, at Cinema Novecento in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture.
In addition to screenwriter Hiroshi Kashiwabara, the event will feature a talk show, autograph session, photo session, and reception with guests Kanae Hasebe (Hitomi), who continues to exude her charm in the latest film, Juta Yuki (who passionately plays the villain Dino Katou, who opposes Taka and Yuji), and stunt coordinator Seiji Mori. A talk show, autograph signing, photo session, and reception will also be held.
■Screening Overview
The "Abu-Deka" series is a milestone in the buddy cop genre that is the pride of Japan, and it is still fresh in our memories that "The Abu-Deka Detective Returns", the first new feature film in eight years, became a huge hit in 2024.
The seventh and final film in the "Abu-Deka" series, "Farewell, Detective Abu-Nai," was shot by the golden trio of director Toru Murakawa, screenwriter Hiroshi Kashiwabara, and cinematographer Seizo Senmoto, who have supported the series since its inception.
In many ways, this film marks a milestone, as it is the first digital film and the last film in which Taka and Yuji play active roles as detectives.
The screening event will be held in conjunction with the film's screenwriter, Hiroshi Kashiwabara, a regular staff member of the series; Kanae Hasebe, aka Hitomi, who continues to exert her charm in the latest film; Juta Yuki, who passionately plays the villain Dino Katou, who opposes Taka and Yuji; stunt coordinator Seiji Mori, and other splendid guests. The guests will talk about the secret of the fun of "Abu-Deka," which has been loved for 40 years.
In addition to the talk show, there will be an autograph session, photo session, and reception (additional fee required), so "Abu-Deka" fans won't want to miss it.

<Synopsis
Yokohama Port Police Department Investigation Division detectives Toshiki Takayama a.k.a. Taka and Yuji Oshita a.k.a. Yuji.
