Japan Theater -KABUKI- "Otoko Date Hanakaro" by Ichikawa Danjuro XIII" (hosted by Sync Circle.,Co Ltd), the first overseas performance by Danjuro Ichikawa XIII since assuming the name, will be held for two days on Friday, April 25 and Saturday, April 26, 2025, at the Muang Thai Ratchadarai Theater The event will be held at the Muang Thai Ratchadarai Theater in Bangkok, the capital of Thailand, for two days on April 25 (Fri.) and 26 (Sat.), 2025.
The Pride of Japan - Kabuki Goes Global
This will be the first time in 29 years, since 1996, that a full-scale Japanese Kabuki performance will be held in Thailand. This will also be the first overseas performance for Danjuro Ichikawa XIII since assuming the name of Ichikawa Ebizo, and the first performance at Carnegie Hall in New York since March 2016, during Ichikawa Ebizo's reign.
The Carnegie Hall performance drew a great deal of attention in Japan and abroad, and was acclaimed as opening a new stage for artistic culture. After nine years since then, a new history of Kabuki will be made once again in Bangkok, Thailand.
Spreading the spirit and beauty of Japan to the world through Kabuki
Kabuki is an art form with a history of over 400 years that continues to be loved by people around the world even today. The stories that embody the essence of Japanese culture, interwoven with magnificent stage art and powerful acting, transcend national borders and generate universal emotions. This performance will be an opportunity for the people of Thailand to experience the depth of Japanese culture and at the same time reaffirm the "pride" of the Japanese people.
■Special social gathering for tour participants only
The most noteworthy event will be a special social event for tour participants held on Thursday, April 24, prior to the performance. Danjuro will appear on the day before the performance for a talk show and commemorative photo session. This will be a special experience not only for Kabuki fans but also for all those interested in art and culture.

Ichikawa Danjuro Ichikawa XIII Shirasaru
Born in Tokyo in 1977 as the eldest son of Danjuro Ichikawa XII.
He made his debut in May 1983 as Harumiya in "The Tale of Genji" at the Kabuki-za Theater.
In May 1985, he made his stage debut under the name Shinnosuke Ichikawa VII in Kikanbo in Gairoburi at the Kabuki-za Theater.
In May 2004, he assumed the name Ebizo Ichikawa XI in Kabuki-za's productions of "Tana", "Kanjincho", "Shunko Kagami-jishi", and "Sukeroku Yuren Edo Sakura".
In 2013, he launched his own performance company "ABKAI" and created new works one after another in "Roppongi Kabuki," which began in 2015.
Overseas, he has performed at the Théâtre National de Chaillot in Paris in 2004, London, Amsterdam, Paris, Monaco, Rome, Singapore, UAE, and New York, all of which have been much talked about.
Since 2015, he has served as a member of the Tokyo 2020 Organizing Committee's Culture and Education Committee, and will perform at the opening ceremony of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games in 2021.
In November 2022, he will assume the title of Ichikawa Danjuro Ichikawa Shirasaru XIII at the Kabuki-za with Musashibo Benkei in "Kanjincho" and Hanakawado Sukeroku in "Sukeroku Yuren Edozakura", and Odate Samagoro in "Kyokako Musume Ninin Dojoji" and Hanakawado Sukeroku in "Sukeroku Yuren Edozakura" in December.
He received the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology's Art Encouragement Prize for New Artist in 2001 and the Chevalier de la Ordre des Arts et des Lettres of France in 2007.
